Richard Bellingham hat heute den Entwurf für sein kommendes Crowdfunding veröffentlicht. Mit Feline Magic soll ein Erweiterungsband für sein Rollenspiel Secret of the Cats veröffentlicht werden. Dazu heißt es:
In 2014 I was honoured to work with Evil Hat Productions on a DrivethruRPG platinum-selling Fate World called „The Secrets of Cats„.
In 2015 I Kickstarted a sequel book called „The Secrets of Cats: Animals & Threats“ and promised that a third and final book was in the pipeline that would be all about the magic of cats.
Now it’s time to fund and make that book, so it gives me great pleasure to bring to you:
This is a 12,500 word companion volume to the previous two books in this setting. It’s split into five chapters, each of which gives you more information about and options for feline magic.
In Chapter 1, we discuss Knacks, the innate magic tricks some cats can perform outside the more rigorous schools of magic.
In Chapter 2, we describe the Alchemy school of magic. This enables cats to ‚brew‘ potions in their throats and stomachs and then sick them up. When consumed or used as chemicals these potions can have incredible effects.
In Chapter 3, we describe the Illusion school of magic. A school of cunning and trickery, master Illusionists can make you sense almost anything they want.
In Chapter 4, we flesh out all of the other schools of magic with some new stunts.
In Chapter 5, we reveal the amazing and powerful effects cats can achieve with Mingled Magic–stunts that use two or more schools of magic at the same time.
Finally, in Chapter 6, we’ll delve deeper into the realm of forbidden magic, and talk about how cats who’ve sacrificed sapient beings and thus turned to evil can be redeemed.
I’m delighted to announce that the one and only Crystal Frasier has agreed to set some time aside to work up more of her fabulously dark and whimsical art for this third and final book in the series.

Evil Hat planen einen Kickstarter für 2016 in dem das ein oder andere Produkt, statt digitaler Ausgabe in gedruckter Form erscheinen soll. Nun hat George Pitre in der G+ Community genauer nachgefragt. Dort kann man unter anderem erfahren das Venture City Stories (Cyberpunk-Superhero-Crossover) als Venture City erscheinen soll. Dahinter verbirgt sich die redaktionelle Aufarbeitung des via Patreon erscheinenden Venture City Powers und Venture City Stories zu einem Produkt. Venture City Powers ist das Quellenbuch rund um neue Kräfte.

On a more serious note, I do have one question that I hope to see answered in the Kickstarter FAQ when it launches: will Venture City simply compile the text of Venture City Stories and Venture City Powers in sequential order, or will it blend them as a more-or-less seamless whole?

+Jim Nicholson It’s a blend. Powers and Stories as separate releases work just fine, but there’s some drift between Stories and Powers (as well as some overlap) that needed to be reconciled in order to put it into a form that works as a single book. Thankfully we had +Joshua Yearsley (Editor Extraordinaire) for that.

Ein neues Patreon Projekt, abseits der Fate World of Adventures von Evil Hat und dem Fate Codex von Magpie Games buhlt um die Gunst der Fate Jünger. Eigentlich um die Gunst der Rollenspieler im Allgemeinen. Encoded Designs haben es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht mit The Character Cache eine Sammlung von Charakteren zu erschaffen die als Spielercharaktere oder NSC eingesetzt werden könnten. Die Systemneutralen Charakterbeschreibungen mit Hintergundgeschichte und allem pipapo werden von Matt Morrow illustriert und bekommen je nach Milestone Goal auch aufwändigere Illustrationen verpasst.

Im letzten Poll haben wir die Settings der beiden Kickstartersammelbände abgefragt. Heute dreht es sich um die gesamte Reihe die ja mittlerweile ganz schön angewachsen ist. Hier eine Übersicht der veröffentlichten Worlds and Adventures und hier die Sammelbände Worlds on Fire und Worlds in Shadow. Desweiteren sind ja im zuge des Patreon Projektes von Evil Hat noch weitere Worlds of Adventure geplant.
