Die Groschenheftsensation der Federfechter

Die Grüne Fee, der kreative Geist im Absinth, leiht diesem Groschenheft freundlicherweise ihren Namen. Die Federfechter (Judith C. Vogt, Mia Steingräber, Christian Vogt, Tobias Rafael Junge) entführen den Leser in die Hochzeit des Absinths – ins ausgehende 19. Jahrhundert. Ziel dieses verlagsunabhängigen Herzensprojekts ist es, inhaltlich und gestalterisch ein einzigartiges Kleinod für Freunde von Steampunk und Pulp (Steampulp) zu erschaffen. Denn die Geschichten und Illustrationen nicht nur in der Vergangenheit angesiedelt, sondern auch in einer alternativen Welt: der Welt von Eis&Dampf.

In diesem 19. Jahrhundert, das anders ist, als wir es kennen, beherrscht eine Eiszeit Europa. Während Gletscher Skandinavien unter sich begraben, ragen in Ӕgypten Pyramiden aus  einem Blumenmeer. Über Zentralafrika sind nur Legenden bekannt, und die Existenz eines Kontinents jenseits des Atlantiks ist nicht mehr als ein Gerücht. Die Menschen hoffen auf die Wunder der Wissenschaft, den Luftschiffhandel und die industrielle Revolution, um der Kälte zu trotzen. Der Fortschritt jedoch bringt auch Schattenseiten mit sich: der Hunger nach Rohstoffen kann nur durch Ausbeutung der Schwachen gestillt werden. Verrückte Wissenschaftler erschaffen Fragwürdiges, und der Adel geht über Leichen, um an Patente für die neuesten Wunderwerke zu gelangen. Es ist eine Welt der Intrigen und der Aufstände, der Dæmonen der Physik, der Luftschiffschiffpiraten und der letzten Abenteuer.

Erstmals ersonnen im Roman Die zerbrochene Puppe wird Eis&Dampf seither von vielen Ideengebern weiter ausgeschmückt: nachzulesen im Folgeroman Die verlorene Puppe, in der Kurzgeschichten-Anthologie Eis und Dampf und nachzuspielen in der gleichnamigen Pen & Paper-Umsetzung für Fate Core.

Die zweite Ausgabe der Grünen Fee erscheint indes zur FeenCon, bereichert von den Wort- und Bilderschmieden Henning Mützlitz, Christian Lange und Fabian Mauruschat sowie Caryad , Mia Steingräber und Janina Robben.

Materialuebersicht-Leaves-of-ChiaroscuroVon Bennett-Burks Design kommt mit Leaves of Chiaroscuro ein Schnellstartregelwerk, das zugleich als Spieltestregelwerk herhält. Mitte 2016 soll es dann soweit sein und die Hintergundwelt soll veröffentlicht werden.
